Local Expertise You Can Trust

Professional in-home pet care and house sitting from a trusted neighbor. delivered with integrity, discretion, and an understanding of Northern Westchester.

My Background

I’m a longtime Chappaqua resident and the founder of Annandale Hound & Hearth. Having lived and worked in this community for years, I understand the standards and expectations of the families here. My background in client-facing roles has honed my attention to detail, reliability, and ability to anticipate needs before they arise.

I created Annandale Hound & Hearth to offer something rare: white-glove in-home care provided by someone who is truly local, accountable, and invested in the well-being of both your pets and your property.

A Variety of Relevant Experience

My deep experience with dogs comes from years of hands-on work, particularly with challenging cases. One of the most meaningful was Kiki, a rescue from South Carolina who arrived with significant trauma and a difficult attitude. She was reactive, was not agreeable to other dogs, and carried a lot of fear. Through patient walking, consistent training, and calm leadership, I was able to settle the tension nonviolently and help her feel safe. Kiki is now a beloved, well-adjusted member of my family — happily adopted by my parents — and a daily reminder of the transformative power of compassionate, steady care.

This experience, along with many others, has given me a strong ability to read dogs, de-escalate difficult situations, and earn the trust of even the most guarded pets. Whether your dog is easy-going or has special needs, you can feel confident knowing they’re in experienced, capable hands.

I grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and have raised five dogs of my own. Our first dog, Jason, a yellow Lab, was a notorious character — sneaky enough to steal my grandmother’s cheesecake off the table and slick enough to snatch a slice of pizza out of my friend’s hand at my birthday party. Later, after moving to Westchester and attending college in the city, I raised Jasper and Gracie, black and white Labradors from the same litter, as puppies. Everyone taught me something new about patience, personality, and the importance of a stable, loving environment.
